About Erika

I am a professional graphic designer and part-time musician.

I've been creating music and visual art since I was born. My dad told me that one of the first sounds I ever made was singing a note. My creative soul shines through all aspects of my work. I was born to be an artist. I was born to create. It's who I am.

My emotional closeness with art and creativity is balanced by my professionalism and ability to do a job well. While art is my passion, I know that it is a privilege to be able to make a career out of it. I put all that I can into my work, and I work at a project until it is finished to my satisfaction.

I am surrounded by art full-time. It's my hobby, my job, and my education.

In my experience, I have done public art such as murals and billboards, as well as websites, greeting cards, and fine art prints. My talent and skill cover a wide range, and I'm always eager and willing to learn more.

I am currently a graphic design student at the Kansas City Art Institute and the Graphic Design Studio's lead artist assistant at MyARTS, an art program for urban youth in Kansas City.
